Lips phones

Although this telephone has nothing to do with fashion - I just couldn't help but making a post about it! I absolutely LOVE these lips phones! I was browsing online at Lulu Guinness' lips clutches when I came across these telephones. This style comes in a variety of colours including silver, black, red, pink and even leopard print! At £60 it is quite expensive for a phone but totally worth it!

I would love one of these so I have told my Mum when I graduate and move into my first flat, this is what I want as a flat-warming gift.

First wardrobe essential of 2013

If you read my blog regularly you know I have a wardrobe essential each month. It is a piece from the high street that is affordable (even for students), on trend and basic enough to wear over and over again. This is my first wardrobe essential for this year, and it is from Topshop. This strappy cami is only £18 and comes in a variety of colours perfect for SS13.

As monochrome is a big trend this season, i will be wearing mine with a mixture of black and whites and using this yellow cami as a statement piece. It is perfect for daytime and to wear on a night out, and is very easily dressed up or down.

Boy London

Boy London is one of my favourite street brands and this top in particular is on my wishlist! It is so simple you can wear it with anything. Jeans, leggings or disco pants and at £45 it is a reasonable price.
You can find it on the Selfridges website.
I love the metallic logo.

SS13 at Selfridges

Selfridges homepage is full of bright coloured accessories we are all envious of.
Their homepage is brighter than Times Square itself, and looked absolutely amazing. I recently posted about the trend 'colour pop', and how bright colours will be seen on the high street, and now designers have jumped on board with their stunning, bright accessories.

Selfridges is one of my favourite stores, everytime I go to Manchester, London or Birmingham I have to take a detour inside just to drool over the latest accessories from Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and a long list of my favourite designers!

With the tv show 'Mr Selfridge' recently taking over our Sunday nights Selfridges has been the topic of conversation for the past few weeks.

Love your homepage Selfridges, well done!

Menswear SS13 trends

Denim shirts with aztec detailing on pockets and elbows
was a trend that seemed evident throughout the high street.
Khaki and waxed jackets were in every store I visited and
bursts of mustards were seen throughout the high street.

Colours which have been predicted to be key this season
is navy, grey, orange and mustard. Browns mixed with
neutrals have also been predicted and this seems to be
coming through with what is on the high street at the
moment.

After recently attending an assessment center at ASOS head office for a menswear position, I had to research menswear trends and what would particularly sell well on ASOS.
I think the main trend for this season and which I think is a must have for all men is the bomber jacket. Depending on your style there is an option for any style. You can get a basic black one if you are looking for a piece to wear year on year. Or perhaps a leather one if you want a bomber jacket which will stand out this season. If you like to dress in a more unique way, try a printed bomber or one with contrasting sleeves just for something that little bit different.

If you are a label lover like me, Boy London and Diesel have on trend bomber jackets to offer which can be found on ASOS.

SS13 Colour Pop

Spring Summer 13 colours are starting to come through on the high street with orange, yellow and pink being key colours for this season. Incorporated into simple camis and statement jackets, colours are going to be huge on the high street. Monochrome is a key trend for this season so it will be nice to see bright colours on the UK streets too! These three pieces are from Topshop.
