Chanel's 129th Birthday

Chanel is a French fashion house, if not the most famous of them all. This brand was founded in 1909 by 'Coco' Chanel, (real name Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel). Chanel was originally known for the 'little black dress' however nowadays is associated with quilted handbags, tweeds and the amazing Karl Lagerfeld.

Today is Chanels 129th Birthday and for the special occasion Douglas Rosin & 1stdibs have launched a special capsule collection (priced between £320 and £3,200). They will be signature pieces; brooches, bracelets, earrings and necklaces which reflect Coco Chanel's style.

PRIMARK AW12

I recently found my love for Primark whilst shopping in the Liverpool store, however I came across a sneaky peek into their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection on the Look website. They may have negative press about 'sweatshops' and child labour, but their AW clothes are to die for! Primark is getting more trend focused every season and is really beginning to have an impact on shopaholics who want fast fashion. In this economic climate we want everything as cheap as we can get it and Primark offers that with 'throwaway' clothes which we can buy one season and bin the next.

Peplums have been huge this season in whites, blacks, nudes and neons, however we are seeing tweed and ribbed peplums as we get closer to AW. Also I would imagine the studded trend will be sticking around next season as studs have taken over every retailer! These garments are some of my favourite from Primark and I just hope they don't sell out too quickly!

The most beautiful Wedding this year...

__________________________________________________

The Wedding of Rochelle Wiseman & Marvin Humes was a beautiful ceremony, filled with A list guests and the setting of a fairytale! The couple married in Oxfordshire in Blenheim Palace, a grand stately home. With The Saturdays as bridesmaids and JLS as groomsmen, this wedding was one I was jealous I wasn't invited to! Hello had exclusive coverage to the wedding and had a feature of the wedding in their latest issue, which had great detail about the wedding and images of the entire day.
Rochelle wore a dress by Vera Wang as most of us dream of and she looked absolutely stunning. The dress was a white, fishtail dress which accentuated her figure beautifully. Vera Wang is a legend when it comes to bridal gowns. Every bride all over the world desires a dress by Vera, but not every bride looks like Rochelle Humes. With her skin tone, long brown hair and enviable figure, she looked absolutely incredible. I just can't wait to see what their kids will look like.
