Topshop - Made In Britain

High street stores have been slated in the press for years on the grounds of being 'unethical' on the issue of sweatshops and slave labour. We have seen River Island introduce particular products which have been made in Britain, influencing us to 'Buy British', however Topshop have now joined its competition by creating a whole range called 'Made In Britain'.
I think it's about time that we manufacture (even though it is a small amount) a proportion of the clothes we wear on our backs in our own country. Studying Fashion & Textile Management at University I am well aware that it is cheaper to produce fabric and manufacture garments in the Far East, however I am pleased that our British retailers are atleast making an effort to produce some specialised garments in this country (even if it does cost us a little bit more).

Are you willing to pay more to support our countries manufacturing or not? Comment and let me know.
